Unregistered or anonymous users can make contributions to Brownbook.net, they do this in the same way as registered users except that for each contribution they must click a verification link in an automated email we send in order for each contribution to go live.
This is important for several reasons:
- So that we can be sure you’re a real person with a valid email address
- So that we can attribute all contributions to at least an email address
- So that we can contact you if necessary
- So that we can block or ban abusive contributors
NOTE: Registered users don’t need to do this, their changes are made instantly without the need for the verification email. Anyone can register for free.
